Board of Directors
Hello HSC!
Thank you all for an amazing start to our Fall season! I'm so excited for what this season will bring and the experiences that we get to share with each other.
I want to give a shoutout and large 'THANK YOU' to all of our current board members who have been working very hard, both in front of and behind the scenes, to make this organization the best place for all of us to share in the joy of music. They handle, among other things, marketing efforts, fundraising opportunities, myriad communications, spirit nights and other development events, performance opportunities, stewarding our budget, managing our documents and records, and not to mention being helpful resources for our members and larger community.
If you have any interest in seeing these fabulous people at work, I'd like to invite you to come to a board meeting. We have our first one of the season next Thursday, September 11th, at 6:30pm upstairs in the Activities Building at RMCC. (Bring your spirit night Chipotle dinner!) If you can't make this one, we hold meetings on the second Thursday of every month, which is reflected in the calendar of events. All meetings are open to membership.
We have board elections at the end of the Spring season, though please don't let that discourage you from finding a way to help if you have the time, ability, and desire. We can always use an extra set of hands in making HSC the best place to spend your precious time, make music and friendships, and build community. Please reach out to any board member if you are interested in helping in any way.

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!
Greetings, Choirmates!
Things are really starting to ramp up around HSC Land, with gigs, socials, spirit nights, and more!
On that note, we offer a special thanks to everyone who responded to the gig form regarding funeral services for Mark's mom. She will be honored beautifully by the voices of so many among you.
And now we have an additional gig in early October! We are likely to have more requests as the winter holidays approach.
We're approaching ONE MONTH of rehearsals! Here are a few reminders. Please add these to your calendar as appropriate:
November 22: Holiday Cabaret at Ovations! (Optional participation.)
December 8, 10, and 12: MANDATORY Tech Week Rehearsals
December 13: SHOW DAY! Two performances, 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM @ Resurrection!
Our June 2026 trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is in full swing. We are still accepting registrations, no upfront payment required. Remember that we need 40 singers on stage at Universal in order to perform on the mainstage, so please sign up! Here is the link to register:
Visit our website at: https://www.etadventures.com/
Click the green text in the top section of the screen that says: "Customer Login"
Next you will be prompted to enter your trip code which is: houston26
On the next screen you should choose the option to "Access Account" and then you will be prompted to create an account using your email address or your personal Google account.
If you have previously created an account with ETA, you may sign into your existing account to make a reservation and you will not need to create a new account.
Once you are into your account, select Add a New Trip, and then enter houston26.
You should see your trip details at that point, and then select Make a New Reservation and complete ALL fields.
We are still accepting registrations! You can pay your deposit later; however, if you know you are planning to go on this trip, please register as soon as possible. Remember: We need 40 singers in order to perform on stage at Universal!
That’s all for now, so enjoy your weekend and we will see you Monday night!
Sharing the joy,
Mark & Van
