If you would like to participate in the Poppin Popcorn Individual Fundraiser, you can still sign up using this form.
50% of the proceeds can be applied to your membership dues for the current season, the June 2026 Orlando trip, or the HSC membership jacket.

Our first spirit night of the season is happening on Thursday, September 11 from 4-8 pm, at Chipotle near Rice Village. Order online or in-person and mention Houston Show Choir, and 25% of the check will go towards HSC!

Join us for the first social of the season! Bond & Bowl at Del Mar Lanes on Sunday, September 14, from 2:00-4:00pm.
Please use this link to RSVP on Facebook by September 5, so we can get a final headcount.
There will be a reasonable amount to pay per bowler (~$20-$30 depending on the number of bowlers). Bowling skills are not required! If you want to opt out of bowling, no worries! Come bond with fellow HSC members!

Hello Choir Fam,
Thank you for another wonderful rehearsal! Even though we were missing a few voices, those of us who were there really made some great progress on both our music and choreography. As we keep moving forward, please make sure to follow along with the live videos for choreography. Our choreographers won’t be able to spend much time reteaching, so it’s important that everyone takes the time to catch up on their own. That way, our rehearsal time together can be as productive (and fun!) as possible.
There will be no rehearsal this Monday so that you can rest and enjoy the holiday with your loved ones. We’ll meet again on Wednesday. See the rehearsal plan below.
Also, if you haven’t yet filled out the form for our October 2nd gig, please do so soon. This is a wonderful opportunity, and the choir is being paid generously for our performance. Let’s make sure we show them it was money well spent! I hope you all have a relaxing holiday weekend and that you get the chance to do something that fills your cup.

(Culture Club) Due You Really Wanna Hurt Me?
Okay, y'all, I just want to say I'm totally blown away at how many of you who have already paid your dues , thank you so much, you make my job a breeze(ish)! Only 14 of you remain, and you have until this Wednesday to pay unless you've signed up for the Poppin Popcorn Fundraiser (PPF) or talked to me about a payment plan (if you've told me you want to do a payment plan, you need to provide specifics so that I can put that onto my calendar, please). Although I won't be there Weds, if you need to talk with me so that we can handle any necessary details, I'll have my cell phone and laptop with me while Van and I celebrate my 41st birthday! NOTE: If you don't pay your dues in time, haven't provided the specifics of your payment plan, or aren't participating in Poppin Popcorn, I will be forced to sing to you, "Due You Really Wanna Hurt Me?" You might think that it will be pleasant, but there is a reason I'm not a soloist, and you will regret having my voice inflicted upon you, so pay up/give me a plan/do PPF! And in all seriousness, you guys are fantastic, I'm thrilled that I get to sing (badly for me) with you!

We are off to a very fine start toward mounting our fall end-of-season concert, Home for the Holidays! Thank you all for your preparedness, your talent, your dedication, and your commitment to this process in all ways.
We so appreciate you that we're giving you a day off! Just kidding, kinda. Remember that there is NO REHEARSAL ON MONDAY in observance of Labor Day. In lieu, we will rehearse on Wednesday night, September 3, at 6:30 PM.
Before we begin week three of HSC’s fall season, here are a few reminders. Please add these to your calendar as appropriate:
September 3: Third Rehearsal of the Fall 2025 Season! Remember to FIRST scan the attendance QR code! Then pick up your nametag, pick up your music (if you have not paid your dues, which are due on this day), and find your seat within your section according to the riser chart.
November 22: Holiday Cabaret at Ovations! (Optional participation.)
December 8, 10, and 12: MANDATORY Tech Week Rehearsals
December 13: SHOW DAY! Two performances, 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM @ Resurrection!

Our June 2026 trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is in full swing. We are still accepting registrations, no upfront payment required. Remember that we need 40 singers on stage at Universal in order to perform on the mainstage, so please sign up! Here is the link to register:

On the next screen you should choose the option to "Access Account" and then you will be prompted to create an account using your email address or your personal Google account.
If you have previously created an account with ETA, you may sign into your existing account to make a reservation and you will not need to create a new account.
Once you are into your account, select Add a New Trip, and then enter houston26.
You should see your trip details at that point, and then select Make a New Reservation and complete ALL fields.
We are still accepting registrations! You can pay your deposit later; however, if you know you are planning to go on this trip, please register as soon as possible. Remember: We need 40 singers in order to perform on stage at Universal!

Please no Texting or Answering your Phone during rehearsals.
Step out if there is a need to use your phone.
Timeliness
Be on time to rehearsals and coming back from rehearsal breaks

***All of these 3 simple rules helps to maintain a JOYFUL ENVIRONMENT

You must attend 70% of rehearsals before you risk being asked to step down from the show.
This equates to 6 total absences during this season.
If you already know of any pre-planned absences after reviewing the calendar, please notify your Section Leader ASAP so that they can take note of the future absence.
When you are going to be absent, you need to notify your Section Leader and Artistic Director.
Also note that you are marked Tardy if you join rehearsal after 6:45PM, regardless of the reason.
After your 3rd Absence you may be asked to test your knowledge of the music and/or choreography.
