Letter from Director of Development
Thank you all for a successful Donor Appreciation Reception! We had about 50 attendees (double last year!) and had HEB, Sam’s Club and Trader Joe’s as our sponsors. I literally got chills during the Landslide performance!
I would like to give a huge thank you to the volunteers who helped plan, arrived early to set-up, replenished food and served beverages and stayed back to clean up! Thank you Alicia, Ray, David, Erin, Elyse, Joel, Brittany, Leah and Kurchi.
Special thanks to Sunny, Jennifer, Van, Mark, and the board of directors for all their support in making this wonderful event come to life.
Our organization thrives due to its supporters and the talents of our members. I am so grateful to be a part of this organization.
There will be some snacks and beverages during this week’s rehearsal for the choir :)
It’s our time to shine at Hobby now!
Best,
Sunita Dharani

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!
Happy Memorial Day Weekend, Choirmates!
Your Houston Show Choir kicked off the holiday last evening with a very successful donor-appreciation reception held in The Gathering Place at Resurrection. The roomful of current and past members (some from more than 20 years ago) who have exhibited unselfish generosity to our choir. We provided a selection of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages; bar snacks; charcuterie; tacos; and desserts--much of which was donated by HEB and discounted by Total Wine & More. The "Landslide" ladies and Joel performed their selections from this season's repertoire and we introduced our Board of Directors and staff. We also enjoyed the company of two of our young legacies: Genevieve's daughter Emi and Lauren Desrosiers-Battu's son Jackson! We even shared the evening with HSC mascot Woodrow, accompanied by his dads David and Van. Many congratulations and thanks to Director of Development Sunita, Director of Fundraising Sunny, and their team of intrepid volunteers who spent weeks planning, arrived many hours early, and stayed late to make this event possible.
At the reception, we announced the launch of our special Memorial Day Flash Sale on tickets for our show! Beginning today and ending at midnight on Monday the 25th, tickets at all levels are on sale for 20% off! Just use the code HSCMEMORIAL26 at checkout! Spread the good news and let's watch that sales number climb!
We look forward to seeing many of you at Sunday afternoon's extra-choreo rehearsal (which is bound to be super-helpful). We will NOT see you on Monday night, so enjoy your holiday and we'll see you for a full rehearsal on Wednesday. Let's practice and be ready!
With our Memorial Day Flash Sale in mind, we are using all our media channels to promote the show; however, there is nothing more effective than a personal invitation from you as a performer in this show! So let's get out there and tell the world about it!

Thank you for your beautiful part in this choir, for making this show a rousing success, and for furthering our vision of...
