Important Dates
-
“Dreaming of You” choreo teaching will take place on Monday, April 13 and Monday April 20. Because the choreo has many moving parts, it is important that every treble singer is in attendance for those rehearsals.
Member To-Dos
Please double-check your Live Check-In Status at every rehearsal you attend to make sure you have signed in and will not be recorded as "Absent" for that rehearsal. Links to the live check-in for every month past and present (including February and March) are available under the “Attendance Records” dropdown in the Member Site navigation menu. All corrections are posted to the Attendance Overview.

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!
Hello, Choirmates!
Please take a moment to look at your calendar, specifically this coming Monday, April 13. Do you know what that date marks?
Rehearsal, of course, but beyond that, April 13 is eight weeks away from SHOWTIME!
Is that exciting or what? Does it make your heart leap a little? Maybe a bit nervous? That's good!
Excitement, eagerness, anxiety, and nervousness all cause the same body sensations: increased heart rate, a little sweaty, tension in the muscles. You know what else does that? Singing and dancing!
So let's keep up our great work refining this fabulous repertoire, and let's spread the good news to fill the house at Hobby Center just two months from now!
We are using all our media channels to promote the show; however, there is nothing more effective than a personal invitation from you as a performer in this show! So let's get out there and tell the world about it!
“Like” and share every social media post about Houston Show Choir on your own profile.
Personally invite your family and friends to come see you in the show.
Show off your HSC swag whenever and wherever possible. It’s a conversation starter!
Practice on your own, and envision that full house at Hobby Center cheering for us on June 13.
Make it easy for your fans to buy tickets by sharing the Hobby Center ticketing page with them.
Thank you for your beautiful part in this choir, for making this show a rousing success, and for furthering our vision of...
Sharing the joy,
Mark & Van
From Texas, With Love Tickets now on sale!
Abi, our Director of Marketing, has prepared this lovely official flyer to share on your social media. We encourage you to post at least once a month leading up to the show. So there isn’t an influx of posting, Abi recommends posting on the following days:
Baritones post on Monday/Tuesday
Altos post on Wednesday/Thursday
Sopranos post on Friday/Saturday
When you post be sure to include the LINK to buy tickets—the less work someone has to do when there is a call to action, the more likely they are to complete the action. Please reach out to Abi if you have any questions!
Pro-tip from Abi: Word of mouth and direct invites go a loooooong way. Text this to your friends and family with a heartfelt invite with a link.

This equates to 6 total absences during this season.
If you already know of any pre-planned absences after reviewing the calendar, please notify your Section Leader ASAP so that they can take note of the future absence.
When you are going to be absent, you need to notify your Section Leader and Artistic Director.
Also note that you are marked Tardy if you join rehearsal after 6:45PM, regardless of the reason.
After your 3rd Absence you may be asked to test your knowledge of the music and/or choreography.
