Important Dates

  • If you have any interest in seeing the HSC Board at work, we invite you to come to a board meeting. We usually hold meetings at RMCC in the Activities Building on the second Thursday of every month. However, our next meeting will be a little different. It will be held on Friday, April 10th at 6:00 pm at Urbe (1101 Uptown Park Blvd Suite 12, Houston, TX 77056).  All meetings are open to membership; however, because space is limited this time, we’d ask that you please RSVP by tomorrow, April 5, and you will be notified if there is room to accommodate you by April 6. RSVPs can be completed by following this link.

  • Please double-check your Live Check-In Status at every rehearsal you attend to make sure you have signed in and will not be recorded as "Absent" for that rehearsal. Links to the live check-in for every month past and present (including February and March) are available under the “Attendance Records” dropdown in the Member Site navigation menu. All corrections are posted to the Attendance Overview.

Board of Directors Meeting & Elections

Hello HSC!

I want to give a shoutout and large 'THANK YOU' to all of our current board members who have been working very hard, both in front of and behind the scenes, to make this organization the best place for all of us to share in the joy of music. They handle, among other things, marketing efforts, fundraising opportunities, myriad communications, spirit nights and other development events, performance opportunities, stewarding our budget, managing our documents and records, and not to mention being helpful resources for our members and larger community.

If you have any interest in seeing these fabulous people at work, I'd like to invite you to come to a board meeting. All meetings are open to membership; however, because space is limited this time, we’d ask that you please RSVP by April 5, 2026, and you will be notified if there is room to accommodate you by April 6, 2026. RSVPs can be completed by following this link.

We have board elections at the end of every Spring season, though please don't let that discourage you from finding a way to help if you have the time, ability, and desire. We can always use an extra set of hands in making HSC the best place to spend your precious time, make music and friendships, and build community. Please reach out to any board member if you are interested in helping in any way.

Thank you for your time and your talents and for bringing them to our musical family.

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!

Hello, Choirmates!

This is shaping into a wonderful show that we can all be excited about and proud of! We are working diligently to learn our repertoire, reserving ample time to refine it as the show draws near. Isn’t this exciting?! To do something we love so we can show it to people we love and who love us!

We are using all our media channels to promote the show; however, there is nothing more effective than a personal invitation from you as a performer in this show! So let's get out there and tell the world about it!

  1. “Like” and share every social media post about Houston Show Choir on your own profile.

  2. Personally invite your family and friends to come see you in the show.

  3. Show off your HSC swag whenever and wherever possible. It’s a conversation starter!

  4. Practice on your own, and envision that full house at Hobby Center cheering for us on June 13.

  5. Make it easy for your fans to buy tickets by sharing the Hobby Center ticketing page with them.

Thank you for your beautiful part in this choir, for making this show a rousing success, and for furthering our vision of...

Sharing the joy,

Mark & Van

From Texas, With Love Tickets now on sale!

Abi, our Director of Marketing, has prepared this lovely official flyer to share on your social media. We encourage you to post at least once a month leading up to the show. So there isn’t an influx of posting, Abi recommends posting on the following days:

  • Baritones post on Monday/Tuesday

  • Altos post on Wednesday/Thursday

  • Sopranos post on Friday/Saturday

When you post be sure to include the LINK to buy tickets—the less work someone has to do when there is a call to action, the more likely they are to complete the action. Please reach out to Abi if you have any questions!

Pro-tip from Abi: Word of mouth and direct invites go a loooooong way. Text this to your friends and family with a heartfelt invite with a link.
