How Due You Keep The Music Playing? (James Ingram & Patti Austin)

Well, you pay your dues, that’s how. We are in the final stretch, and payment is due by Monday night. Eight of you have signed up for Poppin Popcorn, and one of you has arranged a payment plan, so I’m not looking at y’all – yet! (Just kiddin’, LOL!)

If you are one of the three who haven’t paid your dues yet, I’ve resent an invoice to you for ease of payment, so please look in your email spam folder for that invoice. If you need to arrange a payment plan, just reply to the email I also sent.

Thanks so much for your cooperation, it’s clear that this season is going to be great!

- David, HSC Treasurer

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!

Hello, Choirmates!

This morning (Saturday), we opened ticket sales to another special audience:  our generous donors! Some of you members are also donors, so you get to double-dip! (Just kidding.) We did have a few members take advantage of the early purchases last week, and of course we know more of you will reserve some of those choice seats as we move along. Then next week, we will open sales to our database and the general public as the excitement for From Texas, With Love builds. So talk up the show to all your fans and let’s fill the house at Hobby Center! Let it be part of every conversation, both in person and on social media.

Speaking of social media, we still have a few who need to be added to our official full-cast Facebook page.

We share the bulk of our interim announcements and real-time information on this page (between weekly newsletter publication), so it’s important to join in order to avoid missing anything. The easiest way to be added to the page is to send a friend request to Van English, and he will invite you to join. You can also make the same request through your section leader.

As you enjoy your weekend, sneak in a refresher rehearsal on your own before Monday night. Listen to those PPDs, sing along in your voice part, and stay ahead of the game.

In other news, registration for our June trip to Universal Studios in Orlando is now closed! Thank you to everyone who registered for what promises to be a fabulous time.

That’s all for now, so have a great weekend, and we look forward to seeing you Monday night!

Sharing the joy,

Mark & Van

Extra, Extra from the Executive Directors

Excitement continues to mount for the perks of the Spring ‘26 season:

  • A workshop with two Broadway musical-theater professionals on June 1. These are two of the same fabulous mentors we met with last summer in New York City!

  • The opportunity to perform in our June 13 end-of-season show at the Hobby Center—the jewel of Houston’s Theater District!

  • Our post-show trip to Universal Studios in Orlando!

It’s not too late to get your own keepsake copy of the professional recording of Home for the Holidays! HSC paid professional videographers and editors to capture, curate, and composite the very best footage from both performances! Our ability to continue providing professional recordings is thanks to your generous support. If you would like your own copy of Home for the Holidays as a keepsake and to share with your fans, simply make a donation in the amount of $25.00 at www.houstonshowchoir.org/donations or using the Zelle QR code above, and we will email you a link to the recording.
