Love Me Due – The Beatles

The Beatles sang emphatically about being loved; we’re not at the point where I need to ask you emphatically to pay your dues, y’all are doing great. Only 27 of you remain, and some of you have worked out a payment plan with me. The rest of you are apparently in good company since I see a few board member names in that list, hmm?

Please use the invoice that was generated for you to make your payment. Dues of $75 (or $25 for Encore-only members) are due by the third rehearsal (September 09). Or you can pay via Zelle using the QR code below.

You also have the Poppin Popcorn Fundraiser to have others pay your dues for you.

If you need to make alternate arrangements, please reach out to me by emailing treasurer@houstonshowchoir.org.

Hello All,

Thank you for a wonderful first rehearsal! See the rehearsal plan above. If you are able to, you should listen to the tracks for the songs we will work on next week and familiarize yourself with it. It is our goal to have all PPDs uploaded this week, but in the meantime, follow this Google Doc link for HSC PPDs. We will start next week in sectionals.

  • Baritones in Front Sanctuary (or chapel if free)

  • Altos in Sanctuary

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend and see you soon!

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!

Hello, beautiful choirmates!

With auditions, new-member orientation, member retreat, and our first rehearsal under our belts, it's safe to say the Fall '26 season of Houston Show Choir is in full swing!

That said, please make sure of a few things to ensure that you receive the optimal benefits from your membership:

  1. If you have not signed your member agreement, please do so before the end of Monday's rehearsal.

  2. If you have not paid your dues, signed up for Poppin Popcorn, or made a payment plan with David, our treasurer, please do so before the end of Monday's rehearsal. Remember that you cannot take your music home with you until you have paid.

  3. Remember to sign in when you first arrive, as YOU are responsible for your own attendance!

  4. If you have not done so, please send VAN ENGLISH a Facebook friend request (or accept one from him) so you can be added to the full-cast Facebook group and ensemble groups if applicable (Encore, H-Town Sound, or Treble in Paradise).

  5. Please remember to observe the Three Ts and Zero Tolerance, and support your choirmates to do so.

  6. Read this newsletter, all Facebook posts, all emails from HSC, and all text messages from HSC in their entirety.

And above all, have fun! If you've not already discovered this, Houston Show Choir members are some of the most hospitable, friendly, helpful, talented, and fun-loving people on the planet. Our members literally MAKE this organization, and that's why we've been around for nearly 95 years. Thank you for saying YES to the invitation, and let's make this season one of the most successful ones in HSC history.

As always, we are here to assist and support you in your experience, so please let us know what questions, concerns, or ideas you have.

Sharing the joy,

Mark & Van
