Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!

Hello, Choirmates!

You know, it’s been a minute since we all sang and danced together, right?! December 13 to be exact—and that’s 49 days or SEVEN WEEKS!

All that’s about to change this weekend—the dancing part, at least—with Spring ’26 dance auditions happening today and tomorrow at noon in the Activities Building at Resurrection.

And some auditionees will be singing, too, as we accommodate a number of vocal auditions between 11:00 and 12:00 on both days, right before the dance portion.

During these auditions you will be meeting some of our prospective new members. We know you will give them the warmest possible HSC welcome! Remember your audition? Take yourself back to that time and remember how it felt. They might be nervous, excited, curious, wondering what they’re about to get into. Please encourage them and help them feel at home with us. This makes a huge difference!

And, we can’t wait to see you!

Meanwhile, excitement continues to mount for the perks of the spring ’26 season:

  • A workshop with two Broadway musical-theater professionals on June 1. These are two of the same fabulous mentors we met with last summer in New York City!

  • The opportunity to perform in our June 13 end-of-season show at the Hobby Center—the jewel of Houston’s Theater District!

  • Our post-show trip to Universal Studios in Orlando! If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time. Please see all the information below.

And as we mentioned last week, the recording of our December concert, Home for the Holidays, is now available for your viewing pleasure! Click here and enter the phrase “HSC2025home” to access a special, limited-time viewing page (access to this page closes TODAY, Saturday, January 31). It is beautiful! If you would like your own copy as a keepsake and to share with your fans, simply make a donation in the amount of $25.00 at www.houstonshowchoir.org/donations or using the Zelle QR code below, and we will email you a link to the recording.

We look forward to seeing you at dance auditions on either January 31 or February 1 in the Resurrection Activities Building!

And now, here’s the scoop on our trip:
