2021 LIVE Star of Houston Karaoke Contest and Community Sing-Along

The summer 2021 Houston Show Choir LIVE “Star of Houston” karaoke contest is our first in-person event of 2021! Join us at Christians Tailgate in the Heights as a contestant and/or audience member and participate in family-friendly music trivia and raffles throughout the event.

This karaoke contest is a fundraiser to support Houston Show Choir, a nonprofit volunteer community choir with the mission to share the joy of music through performance, education, and service to communities within the Greater Houston area and beyond.

  1. Get those votes going for the last time! Again, each vote will cost $1. Votes are tax-deductible donations to the nonprofit Houston Show Choir.

  2. When the voting period closes prizes will be awarded to three acts with the most votes!

For Supporters

  1. When the contest goes live, get everyone you know to vote for you! Each vote costs $1 and anyone may submit as many votes as they want! Votes are tax-deductible donations to the nonprofit Houston Show Choir.

  2. When the voting period closes the top 5 acts will move on to the final round!

For Supporters

VIRTUAL Star of Houston: Registration

For Contestants

  1. Register for the contest here (cost for soloists is $25 and $40 for groups of 2-4).

  2. Record an awesome video of you singing and upload it to YouTube (tips provided in the full contest rules).

  3. Send us your first round song information and YouTube link using the “Contestant Video Submissions” form.

  4. When the contest goes live, get everyone you know to vote for you! Each vote costs $1 and anyone may submit as many votes as they want! Votes are tax-deductible donations to the nonprofit Houston Show Choir.

  5. When the voting period closes TEN acts will proceed to Round Two.
