What's Love Got to Due With It?
It is that time! Dues of $75 are due by the third rehearsal (Feb 23). As you know, your dues go towards funding the program, including rehearsal space rental, music purchase, staff compensation, etc.
I will be generating invoices for you to make your payment, or you could use our Zelle code (below) to make your payment. You could also instead opt to participate in the Poppin' Popcorn Fundraiser to raise the funds to pay your dues.
If you need to make alternate arrangements with me, just let me know. This season is going to be great, and it's because of you!

It’s not too late to get your own keepsake copy of the professional recording of Home for the Holidays! HSC paid professional videographers and editors to capture, curate, and composite the very best footage from both performances! Our ability to continue providing professional recordings is thanks to your generous support. If you would like your own copy of Home for the Holidays as a keepsake and to share with your fans, simply make a donation in the amount of $25.00 at www.houstonshowchoir.org/donations or using the Zelle QR code above, and we will email you a link to the recording.
Artistic Director’s Digest
Dear Choir Fam,
Welcome to a brand new season of Houston Show Choir! To our returning members, welcome back. To our new members, we are so glad you are here.
This season, we will be preparing and performing From Texas with Love, a show that celebrates this great state of ours through music. I am excited to dig into the music with all of you.
Before Monday’s rehearsal, I invite you to join us for Tea and Treats at 6:00 PM. This is a relaxed time to connect, meet new people, and continue building the sense of community that makes Houston Show Choir such a meaningful experience.
If you would like to donate a treat or beverage to help make Tea and Treats special, please sign up using this link by Sunday at 8:00 PM. Your contributions are greatly appreciated and help us create a warm, welcoming space for everyone.
As we begin the season, my hope is that each of you finds not only musical growth, but also connection, support, and joy here. Houston Show Choir is about more than performances. It is about building community. Know that this is a place where you are seen, valued, and supported, and that we are always here if you need us.
I am wishing each and every one of you a wonderful season. Let’s take care of one another and make something truly special together.
Thank you for the music,
Jennifer

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!
Hello, Choirmates!
And away we go with the Spring ’26 season of Houston Show Choir!
At 11:30 this morning, our new members will begin their orientation. They will meet their mentors and will begin their deeper dive into what it means to be member of this organization. As we used to say, we’ve auditioned them and this is their chance to audition us.
Orientation will be followed by our seasonal member retreat, featuring introductions of board members and presentations on all the aspects of membership expectations, requirements, and perks. We’ll have some bonding activities, fun and games, lunch, and of course, we will sing!
We look forward to tomorrow’s launch into this fabulous season and especially to our first rehearsal this coming Monday night at 6:30pm!
Speaking of that, we will begin Monday evening with our Day One “assembly line”—so please arrive early if you can, complete your required forms ahead of time, and be ready to start rehearsal at 6:30 sharp. All check-in stations will be set up and ready for you by 5:30 PM: (1) Executive Secretary - name tags and QR code check-in; (2) Executive Directors - member agreement and health form; (3) Fundraising and Treasurer - personal fundraiser and membership dues; (4) Music Librarians - sheet music for the season's repertoire; and (5) Communications - member information and check-in verification. You must stop at each station in order to be fully checked-in before being seated with your section.
That’s all for now! We will see some of you today in the Activities Building and ALL of you on Monday in the Sanctuary!
Sharing the joy,
Mark & Van
