Additional details such as call time and the songs list will be announced soon!

  • The holiday cabaret is our biggest annual fundraiser and we need all the help we can get to make it a success! Rehearsal Details

Monday, November 03

We will be polishing all HSC, HTS, and TIP numbers. We will always try to rehearse TIP/HTS a1 before a2, but that may change as we get closer to the show and some numbers need more time than the rest. Thank you for your understanding!

Artistic Director’s Digest

Hello Choir Fam,

We’ve made it to November! This is the month where we start putting everything together. Please do your best to join us for rehearsals — your presence really matters as we head into performance season.

Sasha will also be holding extra choreography rehearsals this month. Attending one of these sessions can make up for an absence, so take advantage if you need the credit or just want some extra polish time!

As we prepare for our upcoming performances, it’s important that our visual presentation reflects the same level of professionalism and unity as our sound. Our formal costumes help create a cohesive stage image that allows the audience to focus on the music and message of our performance.

Please review the Formal Costume Guidelines below to ensure your attire meets ensemble standards. These guidelines are designed to allow for individual expression while maintaining a polished, coordinated appearance for the group. Thank you for taking the time to present yourself and the ensemble with excellence. Your attention to detail makes a real difference onstage.

Formal Costume Guidelines

Formal costumes elevate the performance and reflect the professionalism of our ensemble. Attire should be polished, elegant, and appropriate for all audiences.

The primary color for formal attire is black, and every outfit must include a visible black element. The secondary color palette provides approved accent colors to ensure a cohesive, coordinated appearance.

Required Attire:

  • Dresses – Must be knee-length or longer, with modest necklines and secure straps or sleeves. Tights or leggings do not make shorter garments acceptable. Dresses must include an element of the secondary color palette (e.g., sash, trim, or pattern).

  • Skirts & Blouses – Skirts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Blouses should provide appropriate coverage and fit well. At least one piece must feature the secondary color palette.

  • Slacks & Dress Shirts – Slacks may be black or in a secondary color. A button-up shirt or blouse is required. If wearing black slacks, the shirt, tie, or another accessory must incorporate the secondary color palette.

  • Ties & Vests – Ties must include an element of the secondary color palette unless the shirt is already a secondary color (in which case the tie must be black). Vests may be black or a secondary color.

  • Dress Shoes – Black, closed-toe formal shoes are required. Heels should be a manageable height for movement.

We will rehearse in our costumes on November 24th to ensure everything is performance-ready.

Below is the link to our costume presentation.

Thank you for the music.

Dream BIG with the Executive Directors!

Happy November, Choirmates!

Welcome to this new month, brimming with activity and excitement!

We're now SIX WEEKS away from showtime, so let's make the most of every moment we can spare to rehearse on our own from here on out.  By so doing, our in-person rehearsals will run more efficiently and enjoyably and come showtime, we'll be so comfortable with our repertoire that we will utterly exude the spirit of the season!

If you're a cabaret performer and/or an EOS soloist or standalone performer, prepare yourself to be your very best in making this show shine!

On top of performing in our shows, we have the all-important job of promoting ourselves.  Let this be part of every conversation with friends, family, neighbors, service providers, store clerks--everyone we know is a potential ticket buyer!  Spread the word liberally, and let's fill the houses!

And now, please add these reminders or action items to your calendar as appropriate, along with other important dates mentioned elsewhere in this newsletter:

  • November 22: Holiday Cabaret at Ovations! (Optional participation.)

  • December 8, 10, and 12: MANDATORY Tech Week Rehearsals

  • December 13: SHOW DAY! Two performances, 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM @ Resurrection!

Our June 2026 trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is in full swing. We are still accepting registrations, no upfront payment required. Remember that we need 40 singers on stage at Universal in order to perform on the mainstage, so please sign up! Here is the link to register:

  •  Visit our website at: https://www.etadventures.com/

  • Click the green text in the top section of the screen that says: "Customer Login"

  • Next you will be prompted to enter your trip code which is: houston26

  • On the next screen you should choose the option to "Access Account" and then you will be prompted to create an account using your email address or your personal Google account.

  • If you have previously created an account with ETA, you may sign into your existing account to make a reservation and you will not need to create a new account.

  • Once you are into your account, select Add a New Trip, and then enter houston26.

  • You should see your trip details at that point, and then select Make a New Reservation and complete ALL fields.

  • We are still accepting registrations! You can pay your deposit later; however, if you know you are planning to go on this trip, please register as soon as possible. Remember:  We need 40 singers in order to perform on stage at Universal!

That’s all for now, so enjoy the rest of your weekend and we will see you Monday night at 6:30!

Sharing the joy,

Mark & Van
