Hello all,
I truly hope your year is off to a great start, and if it’s not, I hope it gets better soon. I’m looking forward to seeing you at auditions in just a couple of weeks. If you have friends who you think would be a good fit for the choir, please feel free to share the audition information with them. I’m also looking at adding another audition date the week of January 26th.
I’m going to include my last facebook post here. This is regarding featured acts.
Audition sign-ups are still rolling in, and there’s a lot of interest in solos and small groups, which is great news!
To be mindful of time and fairness, I’m going to focus first on new-to-the-choir auditions and ensemble placement changes. Because of that, solo and small group auditions will likely shift to after we’ve cast the Spring 2026 show. I want to make sure I have the time to truly listen to everyone and explore small ensemble sounds thoughtfully.

Auditions
All returning singers will participate in a dance audition.
You only need to sign up for a vocal audition if you are HSC-only and would like to audition for TIP or HTS.
If you are interested in auditioning for a solo or small group, please indicate that interest on your audition sign-up. The Artistic Director will reach out with more details by January 5th.

“Vivir Mi Vida” - Tenor Solo
“Your Man” - Bass Solo
“Landslide” - SSAA Treble Auditioned Ensemble
“Rainbow Connection” - TTBB Auditioned Ensemble

NO Talking
Keep the personal/ non rehearsal related talking to a minimum
NO Texting
Please no Texting or Answering your Phone during rehearsals.
Step out if there is a need to use your phone.
Timeliness
Be on time to rehearsals and coming back from rehearsal breaks

No Drugs
No Alcohol
No Gossip/ Bullying
***All of these 3 simple rules helps to maintain a JOYFUL ENVIRONMENT

You must attend 70% of rehearsals before you risk being asked to step down from the show.
This equates to 6 total absences during this season.
If you already know of any pre-planned absences after reviewing the calendar, please notify your Section Leader ASAP so that they can take note of the future absence.
When you are going to be absent, you need to notify your Section Leader and Artistic Director.
Also note that you are marked Tardy if you join rehearsal after 6:45PM, regardless of the reason.
After your 3rd Absence you may be asked to test your knowledge of the music and/or choreography.
